Nursing Care in A Child with Leigh Syndrome: A Case Report

چکیده
Merkezi sinir sistemini etkileyen Leigh sendromu nadir bir kalıtsal nörometabolik bozukluktur. Hastalık genellikle yaşamın birinci yılında ortaya çıkar. sendromlu hastalar solunum yetmezliği, büyümede ve bilişsel gelişmede sorunlar, ensefalopati, hipotoni veya spastisite, nöbetler açısından yüksek risk altındadırlar. Nörolojik belirtiler bebeklik döneminde erken çocukluk başlayabilir, giderek kötüleşebilir sonunda çocuklukta ölüme yol açabilir. Hastalığın spesifik tedavisi mevcut değildir. Yaşamı tehdit eden bu hastalığın belirlenmesi, gelişebilecek komplikasyonlarının önlenmesi klinik bulgularına yönelik kanıt temelli hemşirelik bakımının yapılması hastaların yaşam kalitesini arttıran en önemli faktördür. Bu olguda tanısı alan bebeğin bakımı sunulmuştur.
